What is TRINC's Phased Array Ionizer

TRINC has focused attention on the fundamental question of "Why dust adheres to work piece" and analyzed its adherence mechanism. As a result we found out that it was an electrically charged dust (activated dust) that adhered to the work. In other words, the dust adherence could be avoided by eliminating static charges on the dust floating in the space. From this, the TRINC's idea "Room-less Clean Room = Wall-less Clean Room" was born. It embodied an environment where dust was all inactivated not to adhere to anything. A concept of TRINC's Phased Array Ionizer was born.

When the TRINC's Phased Array Ionizer is not used, the adsorption and repulsion are repeated since both the resin plate and the particles are remain charged. As a result, the adhesion to the resin plate is awful.

The optimum solution for dust removal process

Even if the dust attached to the work piece is blown by an air gun, the electrostatically charged dust flies up, and goes around to the back and attaches to the work piece again. This "go-around problem" is basically impossible to solve, but it can be solved only by inactivating static of the dust.

The conventional bar type ionizer allows the dust to accumulate on the work !?

The conventional bar type static eliminator is usually installed directly above the work piece. In this case, a high-voltage section of the static eliminator attracts surrounding particles. Finally, these accumulated dust flakes off and drops on the work piece to cause serious defects.
    On the other hand, this terrible situation is avoidable by use of the TRINC's Phased Array Ionizer. Since it fills the wide space with ions, there is no need to be installed directly above the work piece. In addition, the Phased Array Ionizer does not use fan or air blow, so it does not disturb the laminar air flow in the clean bench or clean room. Consequently, it can make the ideal environment for reducing dust-related defects without scattering dust on the work piece.

TRINC's Phased Array Ionizer makes it possible to expand effectively the space in which static elimination is made by synchronizing polarities of the ions emitted from neighboring bars. With these positive and negative ions emitted from neighboring bars synchronized properly, the powerful ionization is made in every corner of expanded space by adding a pair of Phased Array Ionizer lengthwise and sidewise. This improved ion engine type ionizing system with the use of the Coulomb’s force makes the static elimination applicable even to the room in deformed shape.

Because higher humidity holds down static, humidification inside the factory has been common as an antistatic measure.But some of them cannot raise humidity higher, or moisture can affect product quality. There is also a problem of high electricity and fuel costs, which needs to be improved as soon as possible.

TRINC has established an antistatic measure effective even in the dry environment (non humid air) by neutralizing static through ions.This displays a large ionizing ability without using any mediums like moisture.

According to the report of the prize, LNG consumption for humidification has reduced by 40% that is a very big achievement.

Problem before introduction The entire factory was air-conditioned for product quality control, but in the winter when the humidity drops, a large amount of steam was required to humidify the factory, resulting in an increase in the consumption of LNG (liquefied natural gas).
